Instructor: Marc Balcer
Marc Balcer is a software architect, author, and teacher who has made a career of creating better specifications and turning them into powerful systems and productive tests. Marc has many years of experience as an SDLC coach and trainer, and as a consultant and enterprise modeling expert. Most recently as CTO of Model Compilers, Marc has been leading the development of TAME, a unique model-driven platform for specifying and generating many test cases from a single simple specification. As a hands-on consultant, Marc applies agile model-driven techniques to client projects. His systems have been used to test and verify software in critical areas including molecular diagnostics, financial services, implantable cardiac devices, transportation logistics, telecommunications, and broadcasting. Together with Stephen J. Mellor, he is the co-author of Executable UML: A Foundation for Model-Driven Development. He has numerous publications and conference presentations to his credit on topics ranging from project management to software testing techniques. Marc has developed and taught courses for Ranorex, ASPE, TCSI Corporation, and Project Technology, and has been on the faculties of SUPINFO International University, Arcadia University, and Mercer County Community College. Marc holds a BS in Computer Science from the College of William and Mary and an MS from Villanova University.
Interim Rescheduling and Cancellation Policy for Open-Enrollment Classes
Due to the current public health concerns impacting so many of our lives, Cprime Learning is waiving normal change fees associated with rescheduling a training date or changing a registration from an in-person classroom to a virtual online session. Most certification and accreditation partners are allowing remote classes to award certifications. Therefore, we have updated our schedule with additional virtual options.
We have also adjusted our standard Rescheduling and Cancellation Policy to better represent these offerings:
Participants requesting a cancellation or schedule change five (5) business days or more prior to the start date of their class will not be subject to a change fee. Requests made by participants within the 5-day window will be subject to a $200 change fee. Those who do not attend class, without prior written notice, will forfeit their tuition - no refund will be permitted.
- All training must be rebooked for a new class date starting no later than one year of the date of the originally scheduled class.
- You may use the credit for a different course modality, including self-paced learning, if available.
- Anyone within your company may use the credit.
